Job-seeking assistance
The better you know yourself and the labour market, the easier it is for you to find your place in the world of work.
The Finnish Association of Academic Agronomists can help you with preparing job applications and your CV, as well as more in-depth considerations about your skills and competencies. Jobs can be sought in a multitude of ways. We also offer service in English whenever possible.
How to search for jobs
Make yourself a job-seeking strategy to find suitable and interesting work that enables you to utilise your special expertise, enjoy working and feel satisfied with what you do.
Consider at least the following points:
- Map your skills and competencies and personal qualities (e.g. with a SWOT analysis) in order to market yourself appropriately.
- Update your CV.
- Tell your friends that you are looking for a job.
- Target your search at tasks that interest you and familiarise yourself with the organisation you are about to approach (through the Internet, annual reports, and people working in the organisation). Customise your application for each different job.
- Be persistent, don’t give up!
Members of the Finnish Association of Academic Agronomists can browse job vacancies (in Finnish) on our extranet. You can access the extranet site here through member identification.
Registration as a job-seeker
As a member of the Finnish Association of Academic Agronomists, you can register as a job-seeker and submit your CV in the Association’s recruitment service Asiantuntijapörssi. Searches in the CV database are conducted for employers and recruitment consultants looking to fill a vacant position.

Personal counselling
As a member of the Finnish Association of Academic Agronomists, you are entitled to receive personal counselling and support with job-seeking and career planning. This counselling is mainly offered in Finnish and in English.
